General Information

My name is Jurek Wypych and I have been Principal at St Patrick's since 2001. I moved to Napier from St Patrick's in Masterton. I have two children, Adela who attends Sacred Heart College and Daniel who is a Year 7 pupil here at St Patrick's. Our school is a wonderful and diverse place to be. I am proud of our pupils, the way they behave, care about and relate to each other and their teachers. I particularly enjoy being out in the playground and joining in games (especially if I am good at them!) Whenever I can, I go into classrooms for prayers, to read and to enjoy the work our pupils do. If I can get out of school on class trips or camps....I will! I really enjoy working with our staff, they are caring, dedicated and know how to laugh.
We have great support from our families, PTA and Board of Trustees.
It is a great privilege to be Principal of this school and help our pupils learn, grow to reach their potential and become confident all in the context and atmosphere of the teachings and example of Jesus.

General Information

I Started at St Patrick's School at the beginning of 2009 and have the pleasure of working with all of our Teachers and Students. I am from Australia and have taught children ranging from years 1 to 8 in a number of Queensland and New Zealand Schools. In 2005 I moved to the beautiful Hawkes Bay with my 'Kiwi' husband and three children.
In my current role as Deputy Principal I do not have a class of my own but have the wonderful opportunity to work with our dedicated teaching team to provide our students with challenging, interesting and meaningful learning opportunities. I am passionate about teaching and learning and believe that it is a true privilege to educate a child.

General Information

Hi, I am the leader of the Junior Syndicate. I have been teaching 5year olds at St Patrick's School for a very long time (26 years). I think this is the very best job because I get to meet so many children and their families as they come to our special school. I love to see how excited they are to be starting their learning journeys, and I especially like to watch them as they grow and learn at St Patrick's School

General Information

Hi I am the Yr 7/8 Syndicate Leader of St Patric'k School. I love teaching at St Patrick's simply because the students and staff make it a truly postive place in which to work. The students are attentive, enthusiastic and have a love of learning. The staff at St Patrick's are passionate about helping these students reach their full potential.
I taught at St Patrick's for seven years before leaving to teach at a Secondary school. This experience has been invaluable now that I am 'back home' at St Patrick's, as the Senior Syndicate works hard to develop life- long learning skills for students to be independent, learn self management skills and develop sound relationships with peers and adults. The Special Character of our school plays a huge part in encouraging our students to be responsible caring, well- balanced young adults.

General Information

I have been teaching at St Patrick's School for a few years now! When I started we were on the Barton Avenue site. I'd just returned from 2 years in England. I taught Std 3/4 and then Year 2 before leaving to have my children, Alexandra and Callan. When Callan was three and half I started a New Entrant class in Term 3, which was a new experience. After one and half years in the juniors, I moved to Room 5 teaching Year 5/6 and have been there ever since!
I enjoy my work and love being with children. Their enthusiasm and pleasure for life is very rewarding.
