I was born and raised in Hawke's Bay where I started my teaching career, which now spans 28 years. Although most of this time has been spent in Hawke's Bay schools I have also experienced teaching in other areas. Since my retirement from full time teaching in 2008 I have been kept busy in my new role as a relief teacher. To this roll I bring many years of experience and classroom management that is beneficial to the students, as they are able to continue their learning without noticeable distruption.

I have been teaching for 10 years and have experience with all age groups and I have taught in London and Australia. I will be working with Miss Halas in M8 as well as relieving in other classes.

I began teaching at St Patrick's in 2006 after leaving a teaching position in Queenstown. Prior to that I spent a year teaching at a Special Needs school in Christchurch which was a year that widened my teaching skills and broadened my knowledge about how children learn in different ways.
I have spent 4 years at St Patrick's in the Upper Syndicate teaching Yr 5/6 and this year I am enjoying a change teaching in Yr 3. I enjoy my interactions with my students and gain satisfaction from seeing them succeed in their learning.
