From Monday 18th May the school will be open for all children. We are excited to welcome our children back! We are busy preparing the school and want to let you know what this will look like.
Fixed hand sanitiser dispensers have been installed in each room.
There is soap and paper towels in each room for hand washing.
Heavy Duty cleaning spray is available in each room for cleaning surfaces throughout the day.
The water will be turned off to drink fountains - please bring a water bottle.
We will remind the children that they are not allowed to share or trade food - please send a healthy lunch (bare in mind they may need a bit more to start off).
If your child is sick you MUST keep them at home.
If your child becomes sick at school, you will be contacted to pick them up.
We will be discussing with the children how to stay distanced where possible, including safe playing, sharing of equipment, regular hand washing.
Keep the Angel area for only Angel’s until the Level’s are relaxed.
If parents/whānau are coming onto the school site you will be asked to sign the contact tracing register at the gates. The gate near Edukids will be locked.
Break times will be altered - 10:25 -10:55am for morning tea and 12:30 -1:15pm for lunch.
The staff will be focused on settling your children back into school life as smoothly as possible. Your child’s Hauora (overall well being) will be our main priority.
As we transition back, learning will be flexible and student driven. We have seen amazing independence, family learning and play and ‘real time’ learning during the lockdown and we know how important this is for our children. We want to add to and keep fostering these skills in our learning environment.
If your child is not at school, online learning will still be available, as will zoom sessions.
Children Not Returning in Level 2
If your child is NOT returning to school during Level 2 (Monday 18th May), please fill in this google form by this Friday. This will allow us to judge how many children will still need online learning and assist us in our planning.
We look forward to seeing you all back. We have missed your children!
Kind regards and blessings St Patrick’s Staff
